maxine eschger
Maxine Eschger is a photographer and printmaker currently pursuing a B.A. in Art Practice with a minor in Political Economy at UC Berkeley. She is from Los Angeles and currently based in Berkeley, California.
She is a member of the editorial team at the Daily Californian and has served as the Training Manager, Deputy Photo Editor, a Senior Staff Member, and the Head Photo Editor. Her photos have been published in PhotoVogue Italia, The New York Times, The Jerusalem Post, and Forbes. Her photographic work has ranged from political protests, sports, to concerts including Vampire Weekend, Adrienne Lenker, and Royal Otis.
She strives to create compelling visual narratives that audiences appreciate. Having covered classic events she is more interested in elevating everyday moments into powerful and memorable images.
She has worked primarily in photography and is expanding her practice into printmaking and installation.
