Maxine Eschger is a photographer and printmaker who recently completed a B.A. in Art Practice with a minor in Political Economy at UC Berkeley. She is currently based in Los Angeles, California.
She served as a member of the editorial team at The Daily Californian as Head Photo Editor, Deputy Photo Editor, Senior Staff Member, and Training Manager. Her photos are published in PhotoVogue Italia, The New York Times, The Jerusalem Post, and Forbes. Her photographic work ranges from political protests and sports, to concerts including Vampire Weekend, Adrienne Lenker, and Royal Otis.
In her current work she strives to create compelling visual narratives relating to themes of girlhood. Having covered classic events, she is also interested in elevating everyday moments into powerful and memorable images. Maxine began working primarily in photography and has expanded her practice into printmaking and installation, as well as original combinations of these mediums. She is open to any freelance work relating to photography or design.
